House for sale

And the # 1 reason I need to sell my house is

.... I need a new dog.

Ok while the logic in this may not seem perfectly clear to everyone, one of
the many things in my life currently being held together by a shoestring &
a piece of double sided tape is "the dog situation". The way we roll in the
Dibbles house is, to obtain a new dog as soon as the old one departs for
"the squirrel farm". Clyde left too soon & we all miss the 185 pound grand
poobah of couch potatoes, but fine... I'll begrudgingly agree
"replacement dog" should wait to enter our lives until, after, we sell the
house. So Seamus & Spike (2 year old actual twin brothers) it shall be.

Just a small fly in the ointment .... Spike is 75 pounds of non stop
muscular machine, and while Seamus is fuzzy & loveable, he definitely
got the short end of the stick in the dog womb placenta department.
He entered the world weighing more than his frame could support,
limped as a puppy, and as previously stated his body is 108 in dog years,
but bless his 95 pound slow moving, has to really concentrate to get all
limbs working together so he can jump up on the bed, body - he keeps
up with Spike tearing around the house & yard, despite the fact that
joints, muscles, and limbs are falling off in his wake.

And now he has a cataract. I'm mean really ?
He was a rescue - who was saved from being raised as a fighting dog
(um yea that wouldn't have worked out too well), and I took him in even
though we already had 2 dogs & didn't yet need a replacement. Doesn't
that at least earn me a few points in the dog good luck department.

For the love of God, I just got a vision plan for my family, I can't afford to get
my dog freaking glasses. So in conclusion, I need to save a K-9 from death
row, who can keep up with Spike the machine, thus freeing up time for Seamus
to full fill his destiny of lying on the couch & rolling over to have his belly rubbed
as family members & guests parade by.
